characters story (part 1)

John Lloyd De La Rosa is a Filipino born boy with a Filipino Father and a British Mother. He was brought up in Manilla in a one roomed apartment. His mother didn’t work due to illness and his father was a part time electrician. They could only afford one meal a day and could just afford for John Lloyd to go to school. On weekends when John Lloyd was 11 he would often go out with his father and work with him to try and earn some extra money. John Lloyd was an extremely intelligent especially in Maths and science.
John Lloyds Aunty a teacher over in London knew his potential very much, her and her husband secretly saved for John Lloyds first year at university over in America at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles). In 2004 when John Lloyd was 14 he went out to work with his father at a music studio in the city. When they arrived they started to work. John Lloyd left his father to finish off the work whilst he went off for lunch. Whilst on his lunch John Lloyd sat with the owner of the studio and he started to show him the basics of becoming a DJ.
After a couple of hours of playing around with the sets the owner decided to give him one of his old sets he hasn’t used for years. John Lloyd takes the set home and every night after his schoolwork he starts to take it up as a hobby. After passing his A-levels with flying colours he is told by his aunty that he is going to UCLA to start a university course in Maths. When it came to moving away he persuaded his parents to let him take his sets. He was off, with a small suitcase, $50 and his decks.
When he arrived he started his course and carried on with his hobby of disk jockeying in the evenings. Other students started to notice his talent and before he knew it he was performing at house parties and local nightclubs with his own unique touch on house music. One night performing at a nightclub in LA he is noticed by a manager looking for a new artist to manage. John Lloyd accepted this offer and took on this role. He was getting many concerts and was earning around $400 a week, this then went to $2000 and before he knew it he was earning $10,000 a week in sell out concerts all over the country.
